Defensive Pistol 3

Defensive Pistol 3 is a scenario based, force on force class with no live fire.  In this course, you can expect to shoot and be shot with airsoft pellets... a valuable learning experience to test your defensive skills while facing another person, not a paper target.    We enhance the learning process with videos of actual gun fights and analize what went right and what went wrong... and what could have been done differently.  Because there is no live fire in this course, there is no prerequisite skillset.  Previous training on drawing from a holster and defensive marksmanship are helpful, so we strongly advise taking a live fire, defensive pistol course before attending JF. This course does not teach the mechanics necessary for our students to become better shots on the  range... it teaches the mindset that could literally be a life saver.

• Gear selection and placement
• Fundamentals of defensive marksmanship on moving targets
  
• Presenting the firearm from the holster to a threat
• Emergency and retention reloads under stress
  
• Multiple target engagement
• Engaging from cover
• Reactive movement
• Shooting from a vehicle
• Shoot vs no shoot scenarios
  



What you will need for this class:

• Blowback, gas fed airsoft pistol with 2  magazines (similar to your defensive firearm is best)
  
• Green gas and oil
• Sturdy pistol belt, strong side holster, and magazine holder
• Protective mask and gloves
  
• Weather appropriate clothing (we shoot rain or shine... or cold)
• Pen and note pad
• Cover garment
  
• Lunch
• Airsoft guns with holsters are available for rent from GAPP for an additional charge
